Consilium receives prestigious order

Consilium has received an order to deliver fire detection systems to 2 combined freight and passenger ferries (RoPax) that will be the largest in the world of its kind. The order value is approximately 5 MSEK.

The size of the vessels will be 63,600 GT and with a length of 240 meters they will have 5,500 meters of trailer lanes and 728 meters car lanes of, and at the same time take 1,200 passengers onboard. The vessels, being built at the Aker/MTW yards in Germany, will be used in traffic between the Netherlands and Great Britain with a scheduled delivery by 2010.
